From the AI interview

Usama Sajjad answered

How Usama Sajjad talks about the work, from the spoken round of the AI interview and the written answers alongside it.

I worked on a SaaS platform for a construction claims company in Qatar. I started by identifying pain points and requirements through questions and documentation. I developed style guides and foundational systems, conducted tests on their current platform, and created blueprints for new features.
I consider feedback from clients and team members, balancing opinions between engineering and design. I use A/B testing to validate design decisions and aim for mutual agreement, treating feedback as constructive rather than personal.
I tackle high-priority tasks first and ensure I'm at least two weeks ahead of the development team. This allows for client feedback and exploration without rushing, keeping the team in sync and maintaining design quality.
I worked on an augmented reality app for iOS, focusing on a wall deduction feature for curtain products. I streamlined the experience by adding lighting, floor scanning, and wall detection, which improved user interaction.
Low-fidelity prototypes are useful in early development to test functionality without distraction from design elements. High-fidelity testing is better once functionality is defined.
Information architecture must address all user archetypes, defining aspects associated with touchpoints within the SaaS platform, considering pain points, goals, and decision factors.
